Princess Patter

The Princess Patter is your schedule of daily ship activities and entertainment events. It’s also your guide to shipboard services with hours of operation. The Princess Patter is delivered nightly to your stateroom. Keep it close at hand so that you’ll always know what’s happening and where.

Purser's Desk

The Purser's Desk in the ship’s lobby is the place to cash travellers checks, buy stamps, mail letters, ask questions, settle your shipboard account and check Lost and Found.

Shore Tours

Exploring ports of call is one of the highlights of a cruise and one of the best ways to do this is on an organised shore excursion. Adventures Ashore is our shore excursions and information program. Your Adventures Ashore brochure is included in your cruise information package and explains the ports and tours which will be available during your cruise. Since, most tours are operated by local independent companies, P&O Cruises acts only as the ticketing agent of the operator of the particularly shore tour.

Pre-reserve Your Shore Tour

Because excursions have a limited capacity, we encourage you to reserve tours as early as possible. You can do this 70 days prior to your cruise either online at www.princess.com or by completing and mailing or faxing us the Tour Reservation Form found in the enclosed Pre-Cruise Information Packet. Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Your tickets will be in your stateroom on embarkation day, and your purchases will be charged to your onboard account.

A Tour Office and Shore Excursion Manager are onboard each ship to assist you in making purchases or answering tour-related questions.

Cruise Consultant

For your convenience a Future Cruise Consultant is onboard all vessels to advise you on future cruise itineraries, fares and incentives. Our Future Cruise Consultant is at your disposal to book your next vacation with Princess.

Internet and E-mail access

Internet access is available on all Princess vessels through our onboard Internet Cafés and/or Business Centres. Use our state-of-the-art computer systems to access your web-based e-mail account (i.e., AOL, Yahoo and Hotmail) or browse the Internet for world news, sports and stock trading. Passengers who have an account with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) will not be able to retrieve them while onboard, as it is not possible to access these accounts through the World Wide Web. We therefore recommend that passengers establish a Web-based account such as AOL, Yahoo or Hotmail prior to their cruise, although this may be done while onboard.

Standard business applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel are available on all vessels. Please contact the Purser’s Desk onboard for information regarding the charges that apply for Internet services and the hours of operation or if you have any specific requirements.

Boutiques

Shop our boutiques for the perfect gifts to remember your cruise vacation. We offer incredible tax and duty-free savings — up to 30% off U.S. suggested retail prices — on fragrances, cosmetics, jewellery, gifts, apparel, accessories, liquor and sundries and our selection includes the finest brands. In addition to our everyday savings, we will bring you special promotions throughout the cruise. Once onboard, please check our calendar for times and locations of these exciting events.

Art Auction Program

You have a unique opportunity to view and purchase pieces of fine art from internationally known artists via onboard auctions. Art experrts are available throughout the cruise to answer your questions about the onboard art collection.

Photography

Photographs are taken throughout the cruise by our team of professional photographers.

These are available for purchase in our shipboard gallery and photo shop. For a truly special souvenir, have a portrait taken on formal nights. We’ve stocked our ships with an extensive library, including contemporary titles in a wide range of categories as well as books related to specific cruise itineraries. You’ll find books on art, history, sports, travel, health and wellness, natural history and reference materials. We also have a fine selection of fiction and biographies. Princess onboard libraries have collections of up to 2,000 books as well as multimedia computers and music. Read your Princess Patter for library hours and other information.

Taking a Dive

Under the guidance of the New Waves staff, you can get your feet wet with snorkeling and scuba demonstrations, snorkeling classes and tours and scuba tours for non-certified and certified divers. You can even get a full scuba certification during your cruise. To book your dives in advance, visit website at www.princess.com.

An Afternoon Drive

If golf is your sport, Princess can take you to the best places around the world to tee off. On Hawaii and Tahiti cruises, for instance, there are beautiful golf courses in every breathtaking Hawaiian port. The blue waters of the Caribbean are complemented by as many as nine different tropical greens. And we also offer simulated golf at Princess Links on Dawn, Sun, Sea, Grand, Golden, and Star Princess; a nine hole putting green on Grand, Golden and Star Princess; plus golf packages or opportunities for independent play in New Zealand, Mexico and the South Pacific.

Medical Facilities

It’s a real comfort to know that a medical staff is traveling right along with you. Ship doctors and nurses keep daily office hours and are always available for emergencies. Charges for medical services are billed to the passenger’s shipboard account. You can also notify us of your medical requirements online through our Cruise Personaliser at www.princess.com.

Princess provides Catholic, Jewish and Protestant services on the following religious holidays: Passover, Easter, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Chanukah and Christmas.

Laundry and Dry Cleaning

Take advantage of our onboard laundry service. All laundry is returned within 48 hours or on the same day with our express service. We also offer dry-cleaning services and self-service launderettes.

Postal Services

Since U.S. stamps are acceptable for use only within the U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, the Purser’s Desk has stamps for most ports you’ll be visiting. Mail can be dropped in the mailbox located at the Purser’s Desk.

Due to the current world situation P&O Cruises will not handle any personal mail of passengers. Any mail received will be returned to sender. Due to customs regulations, we are unable to accept parcels or packages for mailing.
